Upgrade your compatible KTM's off-road headlight with the Baja Designs Squadron Pro Headlight Kit. One square Squadron Pro light with a clear Driving/Combo lens is supplied with a wiring harness. This kit's own marketing lists 4,300 lumens, 40W and a 12-ounce light weight.
Fitment and plug-and-play limitation
The manufacturer identifies the application as KTM 2005–2007 but does not supply a complete model-specific application list. Confirm the correct kit for your exact motorcycle before ordering.
Plug-and-play only for 2007 EXC models: Baja Designs explicitly limits its plug-and-play statement to the 2007 EXCs. Do not assume other 2005–2007 KTM models install without electrical changes.
Included components
- One Squadron Pro clear Driving/Combo light, part 490003
- Wiring harness
- Manufacturer part number and store SKU: 497041
A headlight shell is not identified as included. This is a single-light conversion kit, not a pair or a round Squadron-R model.
Stator and electrical requirements
Some electric-start bikes require stator modification or rewinding and a new rectifier/regulator to run LED lights. Consult Baja Designs' Stator Reference Chart under Tech Info for your exact year, make and model before installation.
Electric-start bikes requiring stator modification or rewinding must also purchase a switch and wiring harness kit. Preserve this conditional requirement even though this headlight kit lists a harness; do not assume the included harness satisfies every bike's additional wiring needs.
If your bike requires a new rectifier/regulator, Baja Designs identifies separately ordered part 12-2004 and requests the bike's year, make and model. The manufacturer states that detailed stator-modification instructions and hardware are included for bikes requiring that modification. If a rewind is necessary, contact Baja Designs for an order confirmation number for its service.
Lighting and installation
The listed 4,300 lumens and 40W apply to the supplied single light as described in this exact kit's marketing, not combined kit totals. Amperage, input voltage, dimensions and high/low-beam operation are not specified in the supplied record, so ratings from related Squadron Pro products are not substituted.
Review the part-specific instructions for mounting, wiring and aiming. The manufacturer describes the light as a lightweight race-light upgrade. DOT/SAE approval for on-road use is not established by this record.
Manufacturer coverage
Baja Designs lists a 30-Day Money Back Satisfaction Guarantee and Limited Lifetime Warranty, subject to the manufacturer's terms.
