Upgrade an existing Baja Designs dual sport headlight kit with the 124001 Squadron Sport LED replacement kit. The manufacturer describes this as a direct drop-in replacement for its existing dual sport headlight kits, rather than a complete vehicle-specific headlight assembly for every motorcycle.
Configuration and contents
- One clear-lens Squadron Sport LED light pod
- Mounts and stainless-steel mounting hardware
- Wiring harness included
- Black powder-coated cast-aluminum housing
- Billet-machined aluminum bezel and hardcoated polycarbonate lens
- Four Cree LEDs
- Manufacturer part number and store SKU: 124001
Beam-pattern discrepancy: The part description and beam attribute identify clear Spot, while the kit-contents entry lists Squadron Sport 550003 as clear Driving/Combo. The supplied record does not resolve this conflict. Confirm the supplied beam with Baja Designs before ordering when pattern is critical.
Part-specific specifications
- Manufacturer-listed output: 3,162 lumens for the single light
- Electrical draw: 30.36W / 2.2A
- Built-in overvoltage protection
- Average rated life: 49,930 hours
- Light dimensions: 3.07 inches long × 3.07 inches high × 2.77 inches deep
- Listed light weight: 0.75 lb
Dimensions describe the light, not its shipping package. The source lists a beam lighting mode but does not establish separate high/low operation, dimming, input-voltage limits or compatibility with AC electrical systems.
Installation compatibility
The drop-in claim applies to existing Baja Designs dual sport headlight kits. Although the record labels the product universal, it does not provide motorcycle model/year applications or promise a direct fit into every OEM headlight shell. Confirm your existing kit, mounting arrangement and electrical connections before installation. A replacement shell or complete dual sport conversion system is not identified in the listed contents.
Manufacturer-listed durability
- IP69K, described as waterproof up to 9 feet and pressure washable
- IK10 mechanical-impact compliance
- Exceeds MIL-STD810G testing, according to the manufacturer
The supplied record does not identify DOT or SAE road-lighting certification. The dual sport/headlight designation alone does not establish approval for replacing required road lamps.
Manufacturer coverage
Baja Designs lists a 30-Day Money Back Satisfaction Guarantee and Limited Lifetime Warranty, subject to the manufacturer's terms.
