Bilstein B8 6112 Front Spring & Shock Kit

Part 47-313996 pairs large 60mm shock absorbers with matched cold-wound coil springs and billet aluminum spring seats. The digressive piston design provides damping control for everyday driving and rough terrain, while multiple circlip grooves allow the installer to select the appropriate spring-seat position. This front pair is not a complete four-corner lift system.

Vehicle application

Bilstein's exact-part catalog identifies selected 2021–2026 Ford Bronco applications, not 2020. Verify the exact year, trim, door count and factory suspension package against the manufacturer's application guide before purchase. The overall year range does not establish that every trim or factory suspension fits. Do not assume Bronco Sport, Raptor or an otherwise unlisted configuration is covered.

Included components and lift

  • 47-313996 front kit: two B8 6112 60mm shocks, two matched Bilstein coil springs and two billet aluminum spring seats.
  • Front lift for applicable four-door configurations: stock to 1.7 inches with Sasquatch; 1.4–3.0 inches for Badlands without Sasquatch; 1.9–3.4 inches without Sasquatch or Badlands and without factory yellow Bilstein ESCV shocks.
  • Assembly hardware: the linked instructions identify supplied spring-seat isolators, new upper flange lock nuts, lower T-bar bolts and their flange lock nuts.

Front B8 6112 ride-height settings

The exact part links to Bilstein instruction E4-WM5-Y722A00_4. Use its B8 6112 chart with Bilstein springs, not the separate 6100 chart for OE springs. For confirmed four-door applications, circlip positions #1 through #6 give these typical heights:

  • Sasquatch: #1 stock; #2 0.3 in; #3 0.7 in; #4 1.0 in; #5 1.3 in; #6 1.7 in.
  • Badlands without Sasquatch: #1 1.4 in; #2 1.7 in; #3 2.0 in; #4 2.4 in; #5 2.7 in; #6 3.0 in.
  • Without Sasquatch or Badlands, and not equipped with factory yellow Bilstein ESCV shocks: #1 1.9 in; #2 2.2 in; #3 2.5 in; #4 2.8 in; #5 3.1 in; #6 3.4 in.

The shared instructions also contain different two-door settings. Do not use the four-door figures on a two-door vehicle or treat a shared instruction chart as independent proof of this part's two-door fitment. Confirm the specific application first. Actual height varies with factory suspension, vehicle condition, accessories, loading and other modifications.

Aftermarket upper control arms are recommended for lift settings greater than 2.5 inches to help achieve proper alignment. Control arms are not included in this spring-and-shock kit.

Assembly and OE parts

This kit is not preassembled. Professional installation and an appropriate spring compressor are required. Use the supplied Bilstein coil springs for B8 6112 assembly. Reuse the serviceable OE jounce bumper and OE top-hat assembly, including the top mount plate and spring isolator. Discard the incompatible OE dust boots and do not reuse the OE rod collars.

Follow the illustrated spring, seat and T-bar orientation. Fully seat each circlip in its selected groove and ensure the spring-seat groove engages it correctly. Use the supplied new upper flange lock nuts and replacement lower T-bar bolts and nuts; do not reuse the original lower bolts or lock nuts. Do not use an impact wrench to tighten the shaft lock nut.

Final installation checks

Follow the complete manufacturer's instructions and applicable vehicle torque specifications. Check and adjust wheel alignment, headlight aim and applicable brake, ABS and driver-assistance systems after installation. Other aftermarket components require evaluation for static and dynamic interference rather than assumed compatibility.
